Just had a full blown period then got a bfp. Guys help! I am two days after my period and I have been feeling like shit so I took a test and got a positive cheapie so I took a frer and it's positive.
Add a comment. Did you test at all before the bleeding? It's most likely that you experienced heavy implantation bleeding and figured it was your period. If you didn't test prior to when the bleeding started it would be hard to know.
At this point, I would keep testing to see if there's line progression on the tests and get a doctor to give you a requisition for beta hcg levels to be drawn and monitored to ensure they are doubling, it's the only accurate way to see. It's too early for an ultrasound. Good luck and I am hoping for a healthy pregnancy for you. Soexcited Original poster. It's so weird I tested when my period was due because I swore I was pregnant because I was super sick and it was negative like super negative.
That's why I'm confused. I'm guessing it's an early loss as well though. Will keep you posted! I've also heard of lot of women who continue to have periods after they get pregnant for a couple months. Rare but somehow it's possible.
Good luck!! Thanks I really hope that's the case. We shall see! Do you girls see the line tho? I also agree you keep testing. A line that faint and bleeding could also indicate low hcg, which could be the result of an ectopic and slow rising hcg. If it were me I would test again tomorrow or the next day okay, let's be honest, likely both days.
If tests are still positive I would book an appointment with a Dr. Hehe thanks will be testing for sure. Having back pain now too :. I was actually one of the rare ones to still get my period when I was pregnant, I got a BFP at 11 weeks, and i had my period twice, my gyno was so sure that it was spotting, but there was absolutely no way that it was spotting because my periods are heavy, like volcanic eruption heavy too much info I knowso it is possible!

We work hard to share our most timely and active conversations with you. We keep them up because there are a ton of great conversations here and we believe you deserve to see them all. This month, I ovulated on the 3rd. I had some very tiny but red spotting on the 9th, and I thought that might be implantation bleeding.
But a couple of nights later I woke up with a wet feeling, and I had quite a lot of bright, red blood in my underwear. When I went to the bathroom, it also filled the toilet. At that point, I just knew I had started my period. I bled for about two, maybe three days regularly changing tampons because they were dirty. I apologize for the TMI :.
It went back to spotting still bright redand finally stopped Thursday morning. During that time, I had serious pregnancy symptoms-fatigue, sore breasts, and heartburn. I took a pregnancy test Sunday night just to see, and it came back negative.
I kept having them, so I took a test Thursday night and got a strong positive. Took another one Friday morning to double check, and had another strong positive. Test came back positive, and they will call back with my levels Monday. They did not do an ultrasound. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or has any idea what might cause that kind of bleeding so soon? With my first pregnancy, I had a subchorionic bleed and started bleeding around five and a half weeks, but this just seemed so early-even before a positive pregnancy test!
Thank you all so much for taking the time to respond! I have not heard back from the doctor's office, but I imagine that these results aren't as important as the next ones, because they'll need to get higher? My instinct is that it is another subchorionic bleed, I just can't believe that it happened so soon! I have spotted a tiny bit each morning since Friday, and it is just like my first pregnancy. I was praying that I wouldn't have to go through that again, but I guess there's not much to be done about it!
I am praying that we make it through this pregnancy with a sweet, precious, and healthy baby at the end. I would appreciate any prayers! But with my first, I bled heavily with clots for the first 15 weeks or so. Thanks, again, to everyone who took the time to respond.
My hcg level on Friday wasand on Monday it was over 1, So, I am so happy about that. We will know more at our ultrasound on the fifth.

Help! Just had a full blown period then got a bfp
Will keep you posted! I've also heard of lot of women who continue to have periods after they get pregnant for a couple months. Rare but somehow it's possible. Good luck!!We have been TTC for a year, charting for 3 cycles. Last cycle my OB put me on 50 mg of clomid for a stronger ovulation and to lengthen my LP average 10 days.
On my first clomid cycle, I started bleeding heavily on 10 DPO. There was a faint positive. The HCG count came back at 51, and then doubled the next day. While I'm cautiously optimistic, I don't understand how my body could sustain implantation after such a heavy bleed that lasted 6 days.
It was the heaviest "period" of my life.
But it did eventually let up. Now I just have faint cramping and mild spotting. Are there other questions I should be asking my OB?
Has anyone here ever maintained a pregnancy after such a heavy bleed? I'm afraid to be happy and am not sure how to best advocate for myself at this point. FYI, many of us here have never been pregnant, so we won't have advice for you.
I personally find it odd that you would be advised to test after a period, but what do I know? I guess even if no one here has maintained a pregnancy after a similar situation, I was wondering if anyone had a BFP after a heavy bleed, even if she ended up miscarrying. I'm trying to prepare myself for that, as my OB said it is very likely. I'm wondering how others may have moved forward or changed things. I don't think you should assume anything unless you personally know each person on this board.
I had a chemical pregnancy in November One of my best friends had an ectopic pregnancy last year and her 's were going up like normal and even stayed elevated after her surgery.
Eventually they declined to zero. So you never know! Just think positive thoughts and try not to overanalyze. Easier said than done, I know. Good luck. Im not trying to be snarky at all when I say you should try this question on one of the tri boards. Im not saying this is what is happening to you, but the women on the tri's could probably tell you more. You couldve conceived twins and lost one or you could have ruptured a large cyst which caused the bleeding.
I hope all ends up being ok for you and your baby. If it isnt then please come back here and get to know us and youll learn a ton about your body and TTC. I guess it's one of those things that I'll have to wait out and think positively about. Good luck with TTC. I was advised to test because they were concerned about an ectopic pregnancy.Implantation ble e ding is light bleeding that sometimes occurs when a fertilized egg implants itself in your uterine lining.
