Join us ingame. For story its easy to solo stiff and open world too. You sacrifice bit dmg but you can easily outsurvive even champs with some practice. Thats an example build. Main goal is to hit many mobs at once, stun them, trap them, entangle. You could also use axe OH for more cleave if you want. Rinse and repeat. Good CC and good AoE dmg.
Ranger Elite Druid armor
For starters, any class of any spec in suboptimal gear can do story quests and open world content. That being said, Druid can perform remarkably well in Open World Content. That's because it's very self sustainable A druid can remove all condis easily, heal and stealth out of a bad situation or just use that to reopen the fight with full health from a safer position.
For pve the cleanse is better than stealth. For PvP your suggestions would be true though. Consider the following, the build already has soften the fall which synergizes with Troll Unguent for condi cleanse.
Evasive Purity removes a condi on Dodge and druidic clarity which removes every condition in game upon entering Celestial Avatar. If I was so concerned with condis in pve, I'd take signet of renewal which would also contribute to faster astral force regen. Then Id still take another trap. I understand all the reasons you've taken the glyphs With regard to weapons, I have no disagreements.
With your build, you are standing in the middle of a fight, using blinds and minor cleanses to stay in the fight With what I've suggested the ranger is putting out more aoe dmg still has enough condi cleanse and can do a full reset of the fight if needed. In all honesty, I don't see one style build clearly outshining the other. I think its down to preference. And the nice thing about pve, once you're out of combat, you can just change a utility or a trait and see what you prefer.
Well evasive purity could be swapped out with spirited arrival thats true. Everything else is not mainly for the cleanse though. I take soften the fall for more breakbar dmg and AoE. Survivl trit for CD rediction on heal and elite. TU rechrges AF very fast due to the pulsing behaviour, and its heal is fantastic although it needs some practice to use.
I take the glyph trait for the CD reduction and the heal that gives you some life back and AF. This way your stunbreak and stun recharges faster. The cleanse is just additional utility and prevents condi stacking from bosses and gives frequent blinds and lightfields. Its a no brainer build, its only an example i had good experience with and soloed the whole HoT story including all HP bosses.
Druidic clarity is the OS button and is mainly there as an additional stunbreak. Although Ranger is clearly my main, I never used my Ranger in fractals, as I always heard they weren't wanted. Soulbeast is pretty good in Fractals with a very easy to master rotation. Some still consider us a meta spec. Base ranger is not very useful in Fractals and there seems to be a decline in Druid Healers, though.
Na for fractals id rather go full support if we are talking high tier fractals. With gotl and full glyphs and 2 spirits for the might stacking and buffs. As druids you are very wanted as support just due to easy carry and buff abbilities.Lorek and Cell 58 Comments Jul 5, This is a third in a series of PvE class guides written by members of a [rT], a dungeon speed running guild.
Updated on January 9, The Ranger is a sturdy medium armor class with decent mobility and various useful utilities for dungeon runs. Its class mechanic is the pet — an animal companion over which the player has a degree of control. Ranger melee weapon options can be difficult to learn to use effectively and often require a good knowledge of encounters to avoid dying and being a burden to your team.
It is nonetheless a good profession to have in your party in many situations. It is aimed at people with little knowledge of the class but more experienced players might find some useful tips here as well.
This is the weapon you will use most because of its raw DPS. Although only two of its three attacks cleave hit 3 targetsthe autoattack deals the most damage out of all Ranger weapons.
Its main drawback is that the 2 and 3 attacks prevent you from dodging, as well as making your character leap towards your enemy. This alone makes sword nonviable for fights where staying at max melee range i. Grawl Shaman in the Volcanic Fractal is advisable. A way to circumvent the animation lock is to turn off the autoattack and attack manually, which gives you a greater degree of control.
If you want to leave the autoattack on, you can use your offhand or utility skills to break the autoattack sequence and dodge mid cast. Depending on the encounter, this can be a reliable way of dodging while still retaining the convenience of autoattacking.
The first part is a backward dodge with a long cast time, which makes it only useful for attacks with long and obvious windups e. While of limited use in combat situations, it is a great out-of-combat mobility tool enabling you to traverse long distances faster. Turn degrees and use 2, then turn around again and use the leap. This will help you avoid getting into combat when skipping groups of trash.
Keep in mind that the evade time of this skill is a bit shorter than the total time of the animation. Be careful not to roll off ledges when fighting in high places e. Cliffside Fractal, Solid Ocean Fractal. It allows for a greater degree of mobility than the sword at the cost of dealing slightly less sustained damage.
The greatsword has great burst damage as well as plenty of utility which offset the low damage of its autoattack. Maul is a strong single-hit attack that strikes 5 foes in a pretty large area, applying vulnerability. It is a DPS increase and is best used as soon as it goes off cooldown. Swoop is a rush type of move, excellent for closing in on your enemies and skipping trash in dungeons.
Remember to turn off autotargetting in your options panel when using movement skills to skip past enemies, or you will instead automatically target the closest mob with your skill and rush straight to them. When skipping through narrow paths with many enemies, use weapon swap to cancel your Swoop just before the end. This will stop your character from attacking and getting into combat, allowing you to skip faster. The attack portion of the skill also includes evade frames meaning it can be used instead of dodging when in melee range.
This can save you e. It is also a great tool for skipping past ranged enemies.Soulbeast is a DPS build with very high burst damage that in addition provides strong party buffs with andsome Vulnerability and crowd control CC skills.
Furthermore, is an exceedingly strong reflect skill, that comes in handy on several encounters e. For prestacking and encounters where the Firebrand plays Dragonhunter or Guardianit is beneficial to bring to extend the uptime of boons, especially Quickness. The build benefits from slaying potions such as and.
Check the gear optimizer for more gear variants! Weapons Berserker Sword Force. You need Fractal God, and! The main idea of Soulbeast as with all classes is to ensure you get as much damage into the Exposed buff. As your largest damage skill you want to ensure that under the effects of is your first priority when you see Exposed on the boss.
Also as Soulbeast you have quite a few ticking damage over time AoEs, such as and as well as if you have from your weaver. You want to precast these AoEs where possible when you know that the boss is about to be Exposed. In PuGs however it is quite hard to predict when the boss will be CCed as well as phases can last a lot longer than expected, because of this the golem rotation is listed to the right so that you can resort back to it if you end up in a longer phase.
Secondly you only get the buff if you are in so also don't activate it if you are unmerged. You default second utility is which is a nice passive stat increase. Depending on the situation you can instead run which offers higher burst potential.
The situations when you want to run trap depend upon phase length and downtime on phases where trap can recharge. Most healing skills on ranger are quite useful: is a large heal and extends the boons on yourself thanks to. Secondly is a great condi cleanse either personally or for your team. Finally is a ticking heal that can be useful for pushing orbs at Arkk in order to enter the damage field.
You should never swap out or as they are both massive damage buffs both personally and for the team. For a DPS rotation the same rules apply as above land, try to fit lots of damage into and. You want to start on Harpoon gun and use and to precast damage into. Outside of that precasting you want to camp Spear since and deal good damage.
Be careful when you swap pets since you can no longer pet swap in combat. You should only use this rotation on longer phases since it is based around sustained DPS! If you have a Mistlock Singularity present you can use this rotation. If you don't have Mistlock Singularity present you can use this simplified rotation:. These guides are only really applicable to an optimized group scenario. When you go back back to MAMA, autoattack on sword and use.
Remember to use and for this encounter! Precast on the boss like a Dragonhunter in disguise.Welcome, friends, to the reveal of the ranger elite specialization, the druid!

The Celestial Avatar form also changes your Glyph to a different set of skills. Druids gain a set of Glyph utility skills that have a different functionality under the Celestial Avatar form.
Celestial set is probably the best, for this spec. Theres a GM trait that gives them 5 stacks of bleed, every time you stun, or daze your enemy. So out of all of the new elite specs, we have 3 new staff builds, two of which are melee?
Sorry to nitpick, but we have to elite specs with staff, Revenant has staff as a standard weapon. I see this druid thing having a hectic impact on pvp. Very hard to kill something that deals half its damage through its pet, uses its pet as a meat shield, and is more focused on standing behind you then dealing you damage — and regens massive health on the fly.
The amount of time its taken me to kill them during beta weekends has often locked me down for ages — and given the other enemies ample time to straddle over. Plus in the age of active damage mitigation over passive mitigation, pretending they not there results in quite a bit of damage to an otherwise fragile character. Also, unlike tanks, an AoE healer is most dangerous in group on group battles.
Use zerker or maurader amulets in pvp; my 2. She might get downed from all the condis; but everyone is already dead my then. Sounds interesting. Nerf Thief pls. Thief can kill Ranger in 1sec.
How can u stack bleed with Druid?
